Our data loggers provide reliable temperature and humidity monitoring within small yet robust form factors. All of our data logger lines share the following features: multi-use capability (loggers can be used multiple times), long battery life, programmable start delay, and user defined alarm thresholds.

Two Thermochrons
Thermochron & Hygrochron - These loggers are the smallest temperature data loggers. They are housed in robust, light weight stainless steel cans and are available for monitoring the widest range of temperatures, from -40°C to 140°C.  Units are available with up to 8,192 (8KB) readings and ±0.5°C accuracy.  The Hygrochron loggers monitor both temperature and humidity.

MicroDL Thumbnail
MicroDL - These are the smallest data loggers that incorporate an LCD display.  They have a push button for initiating data logging and cycling through logged data. Units are available with up to 64KB of memory and most models have an accuracy of  ±0.5°C.  Their wide temperature range extends as low as -80°C and as high as 72°C.  They are available in a variety of form factors, including external probes.

3C\TEMP - These loggers offer the largest LCD display providing the greatest screen visibility.  They utilize a standard USB connection (Mini USB) instead of requiring a specialized cradle.  Their temperature monitoring range extends from -29°C to 72°C with an accuracy of ±0.5°C.  This line offers a version which also monitors humidity.

Maxilog Thumbnail
MaxiLog - These are the most economical data loggers that have an LCD display. They come in two models: one with an internal sensor and the other with an external RTD temperature probe. The internal sensor version has superior accuracy, ±1.0°C, with a monitoring range of -35°C to 50°C. The RTD version boasts a wider monitoring range of -40°C to 85°C, but has a lower accuracy of ±2.0°C.

Our data loggers fall into four general temperature categories:

  • High Range- The DS1922T-F5# (0 to 125°C) and DS1922E-F5# (15 to 140°C) loggers are tailored to high temperature monitoring applications.

  • Ultra-Low Range- The Ultra-Low MicroDL w/ Flat Flex Probe is tailored to low temperature monitoring applications and monitors temperatures down to -80°C (e.g. shipments containing dry ice, ultra-low freezers).

  • Precise Range- The DS1921H-F5# (15 to 46°C) and DS1921Z-F5# (-5 to 26°C) loggers monitor a smaller temperature range but offer better resolution than the general purpose DS1921G-F5#.

Will the logger be submerged?

All of our temperature data loggers offer a minimum IP rating of IP54 (which means they are protected against water splashed from any direction).  However, applications which require submersion should use either a Thermochron iButton in combination with a DS9107+ Waterproof iButton Capsule, or one of our data loggers which feature a submersible stainless steel probe (MAXILOG-RTD or MicroDL w/ Stainless Steel Probe).   
Do you need visual indication of alarm status?

The MicroDL, MaxiLog, and 3C/TEMP loggers offer visual alarm notifications via their LCD displays.  Alarm indication is also available for the Thermochrons/Hygrochron loggers through the use of either the THDC 400 handheld data downloader or the Thermochron Ethernet Server, TC-SERVER-ENET.

Is Mac support required?

All of our products offer a Windows PC software option for temperature/humidity configuration and data retrieval. For individuals who wish to use other platforms, our TC-SERVER will allow web enabled devices to configure and collect Thermochron & Hygrochron data using a standard web browser. This extends device support to Macs, iPhones, iPads, Android powered devices, and many more!

Do you need ambient or internal temperature?

The vast majority of our temperature data loggers are designed to monitor ambient temperature; however, we offer three loggers with external probes which can be used for monitoring internal temperatures:
  • Maxilog-RTD - This food grade logger has a 5" stainless steel probe which is attached by a 20" cable. 
  • MicroDL w/ Stainless Steel Probe - These food grade loggers have either a 2.78" or a 6.02" length stainless steel probe attached directly to the back of the logger. 
  • Ultra-Low MicroDL w/ Flat Flex Probe - These ultra-low loggers monitor extremely cold environments, as low as -80°C. The LCD display is kept outside the ultra-low environment; while the RTD probe, located on the opposite end of a 20" long flat flexible cable, is kept inside the ultra-low environment.
