 EDIOS is Automation / SCADA Software for 1-Wire Sensor Networks,
Point Six Wireless Sensors, and more. Its low-cost,
high-reliability design makes it equally suitable for Commercial, Industrial,
and Residential applications.
Real-time Monitoring / Control
EDIOS is a general purpose SCADA (automation) program
designed for Windows. Based on an object
oriented design, EDIOS is extremely easy to use, yet
provides powerful automation for nearly any task.
Using EDIOS, you can automate your data collection and
control in a variety of ways, including:
- Time Based Schedules
Great for routine events, all actions in EDIOS can
be triggered by scheduling them to happen at certain
times of the day, for example:
"Office:Light Weekday:8:00 AM
On"
"Office:Light Weekday:8:00 PM
Off"
- Powerful Scripting Language
For more advanced applications, EDIOS provides a
built-in scripting language that can be used to cause
actions to occur as a result of nearly any condition.
For example:
" If Office:Light Becomes Off
Then Office:Thermostat Set 62"
Built-in scripting language permits endless configuration possibilities.
Your scripts can be triggered to run based on time of day, or when any I/O point
in the system changes value or state.
Data Logging / Charting
EDIOS provides a built-in graphing engine that has the ability to create
real-time charts and graphs. Generated graphs can include multiple data points
charted at user-defined intervals. In addition to monitoring and control, all
data collected by EDIOS can be logged to standard text files for later analysis
by other applications.
Remote Access
EDIOS has an internal web server, meaning you can access its full
functionality from any computer on the network. Using a web browser, you
have complete remote control over EDIOS including configuration and monitoring.
Remotely accessing EDIOS provide convenience, while still maintaining real-time
data access: when data values change, the updates are automatically pushed to
your web browser in real-time. No more periodically reloading web pages to
see the latest data.
Supports 1-Wire Networks
EDIOS provides full support for the HA7Net Ethernet to 1-Wire Bus Master.
This allows you to monitor and control a wide variety of 1-Wire devices at
remote locations.

In addition to the actuators and sensors offered by
Embedded Data Systems, EDIOS also has the ability to
interact with the following:
- Email - EDIOS can send alert notifications via e-mail.
- WebCams - EDIOS can periodically download images from nearly any
webcam.
- X10 - EDIOS can control nearly any home appliance including
lamps, thermostats, etc. through the use of a supported X10 adapter.
